5x7 is a work horse size with a variety of applications It is a traditional photo enlargement size - the first size up from a snapshot. It is still a common digital enlargement as two copies can be printed on a desktop photo paper and its aspect ratio , 7:5, is closer to true digital than a 4x6. Many greeting cards are 5x7 as are A-7 announcements. We think 5x7 is the ideal photo frame size - a bit more substance than a snapshot but compact enough to fit easily on a desk or shelf. A typical 5x7 frame will cover 1/4 inch of your image all around, resulting in a view window of 4.5x6.5. We also carry this size as a tabletop easel frame. If you would like a mat to complement your frame, visit our 5x7 Cut Mats. With a mat, a 5x7 frame works best for artwork from 1x3 to 3x5.
