Nine Ways to Frame a Picture
People often ask us what the "right" way to frame a picture is. Unfortunately, or actually fortunately, there is no single right way to frame most pictures. Almost thirty years in this business has led us to a holistic frame design approach where we consider the subject, the style (both of the art and the person it belongs to) and the setting. We've selected a nice little print by Side Door Gallery artist John Copley and over the next couple of weeks are going to frame it nine different ways - different treatments selected by different staff members.

Terrific Tikis
We are adding a number of new moldings to our in stock and online frame programs. One of the more fun ones is our Tiki line of deeply embossed woods. These striking moldings have proved to be surprisingly versatile. Among other things we have used these on bright prints from a Caribbean vacation, a cheetah photograph from an African safari and, oddly but very effectively, a needlework of a Phoenician sailing vessel. Nicely priced and in stock at Saline, Dexter and our Online store.
