11x17 Cut Mat

Our 11x17 archival mats are cut from conservation quality alpha-cellulose matboard. These boards are acid-free and lignin-free, alkaline pH buffered, bleed and fade resistant, and meet the F.A.C.T.S. Guidelines for Conservation. The size above is the outside dimension. We will custom cut your specified opening and center it in the mat. To order a Redi-Cut mat:

1. Choose the color of your mat. Click here for color palette.
2. Specify whether your mat orientation is vertical or horizontal.
3. Specify whether your mat opening is vertical or horizontal. Click here to see examples of frame and opening orientation.
4. Enter your exact mat opening size. We recommend you overlap your artwork at least 1/4" on every side. For example a 5"x7" photograph works best in a 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" opening. We will cut your opening to the exact measurement you specify.

1. Choose the color of your top, or outer, mat. Click here for color palette.
2. Choose the color of your inner mat. This is the small band of color next to your artwork. Click here for color palette.
3. Pick the reveal, the amount of the inner mat that you would like shown. Choose 1/4" (the standard) or 1/8" (for a finer line of color)
4. Specify whether your mat orientation is vertical or horizontal.
